Sensex rises 200 pts, Nifty reclaims 11,300

Equity market opened in the positive territory on Friday. The S&P BSE Sensex was trading half a per cent higher at 38,070.59 levels while the NSE's Nifty50 index was trading above 11,250 level at 11,290.20, up 0.50 per cent. Nifty Bank was trading over 1 per cent or 300 points higher at 28,352.65 levels.  Among individual stocks, TCS was quoting over 3 per cent lower at Rs 1,941.10 apiece on the BSE after muted Q2 numbers.  U.S. stocks rose on Thursday on US-China trade deal optimism. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.57 per cent, the S&P 500 gained 0.64 per cent, and the Nasdaq Composite added 0.6 per cent. Asian shares were up in early trade on Friday. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.5 per cent. Australian shares climbed 0.8 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei stock index gained 0.9 per cent. Oil prices rose on Thursday. Global benchmark Brent crude futures settled up 78 cents at $59.10 a barrel.
