India's WPI inflation falls to 4.64% in November

India's wholesale price index inflation (WPI) dropped to 4.64 percent in November, after rising to a four-month high of 5.28 percent a month earlier. The WPI inflation, defined as the price of a representative basket of wholesale goods, stood at 5.13 percent in September. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, however, revised the wholesale inflation data for September to 5.22 percent. The food inflation stood at -1.96 percent in November as against -0.64 percent in October. The fuel and power inflation fell to 16.28 percent in November as against the 18.44 percent posted in the previous month. The manufactured products inflation fell to 4.21 percent from the 4.49 percent in October. The inflation in vegetables rose to -26.98 percent, as against the -18.65 percent last month.
